I'll be honest, I always thought carbon wheels were for the weight weenies and weekend warriors chasing KOMs, not someone hauling groceries and dodging traffic on a 60lb commuter ebike, but after cracking a rear alloy rim (long story involving a pothole the size of a kayak), I figured, why not try carbon and see what the fuss is about?, embarrassing to admit but well, I get it now, its snappy and muted, feels like small electric SUV, now haha, I didn't expect to actually enjoy corners on a commuter setup, but here we are.
That said, the price still stings actually so no I'm not saying this without pain in my heart coz I'm very aware I'm rolling around on what cost more than my first car and I think twice every time I park it outside the grocery store, I just need to make more money
