I just finished building my daughter's BBSO2b bike, so now we have two very identical setups. Now im looking for a GPS tracker to install, ideally one with no subscription fees as much as possible. Any recommendations?
Wow, congratulations on the build!
What
@General Zod suggested are good options.
Inovaxia is known for its long battery life and many of their trackers come with a few years of service included in the purchase price, which is a big plus for the "no subscription" you're lookin for.
Though after the initial period, expect to pay a small yearly or monthly fee.
LandAirSea trackers use standard cellular networks, which means they require a monthly subscription from the get-go.
But the upside is that they offer much faster, real-time tracking, like as frequent as every 3 seconds, depending on your plan.
They also have waterproof options, known for their reliable performance, and they have a variety of plans based on how often you want location updates.
Alternatively, you could use a Bluetooth tracker like an Apple AirTag but they don't have built-in GPS so you'll only get a location when someone with a compatible phone is nearby.
