Been riding my eBike for a while now, and I'm starting to realize that a good smart system isn't just about pedal assist or range anymore, its starting to feel more like a full tech package on two wheels, yunno GPS, theft tracking, ride analytics, even remote diagnostics.
What are you here using their smart features for, any hacks, lesser-known uses, or apps that have really made your ride better that you could share?

I completely agree. eBikes are becoming pretty advanced these days. I use apps like Strava to keep track of my rides and Garmin to check out my bike's stats, like battery levels and how much assistance I'm getting. For security, I rely on GPS trackers like PowUnity. Some smart systems, like Bosch's Flow app, let you tweak motor settings and send you alerts. What smart features do you like best on your bike?

I couldn't agree more. I've been riding an eBike for a couple of years now, and the tech has truly transformed the experience. I use Komoot to keep track of my rides, but I also love the remote diagnostics features that help me spot battery or motor issues early on, preventing them from becoming bigger headaches later.

Here's a funny story, there was this one time I totally forgot to lock my bike, but the GPS tracker alerted me right away, and I managed to catch someone trying to steal it. That kind of tech really gives you peace of mind. What's one smart feature you can't imagine living without?

I don't use any smart apps I don't even have a contract for my phone, no internet apart from at home. I use Google Earth to plan my journeys and print off hard copies of my journey. I like to depend on my senses as this makes the ride much more fun, I've discovered so many places I didn't know even existed, such as one ride around Edinburgh that saw me thirty miles from home with a rear puncture. I fixed the puncture, then it started to rain, which was pleasant as it had been a very warm day. I got home four hours later, a few stops to take on water enjoy the views, no smart tech used that day

Love that old school approach. Do you usually map out your route fully in Google Earth before printing, or leave room for detours? And how do you mark spots you want to revisit later? Is it just memory or do you jot notes on the printout?
